Using ESXi Customizer which by the way is a graphical tool, you can inject drivers in the ESXi ISO. Doing a quick search reveals that your board has the I218 NIC. The Windows desktop app: ESXi-Customizer is deprecated. The most requested feature of ESXi-Customizer is the ability to add multiple VIB files in one run.

A huge thanks for these tools as they are the only thing that allowed me to get this done quickly. Next you can select the drivers you wish to include in the iso, usually distributed as a VIB file. At this time I can see the NIC in lspci but its not visible from ESXi user interface or esxcfg-nic (possibly the e1000e driver isn't loading for it?). The reason i could do it with my Realtek R8168 is that previous versions of ESXI had drivers for that network card, i simply re added them back to the ISO.

I downloaded ESXi 5.5 and the Realtek driver and it worked. Thanks for the help. However can you please suggest from where i should download "offline bundle (.zip file) including VIB(s)" We are having Cisco UCS i can see the file "VEM550-201401164104-BG-release.zip" but in your screenshot Any ideas where I can find the driver for this?
Depending on your Windows Server 2012 ISO image, it may have varying amounts of images included. Navigate to the Sources directory and copy boot.wim and install.wim to your computer, say on the D: drive. 4. Intel seems to have two lines of drivers for Linux, igb and e1000. Download the Realtek R8168 Driver.
