I don't have SATA driver, instead I wanna be able to load SATA driver which is shiped with win7 setup(located inside a setup) win7 setup does... Help Windows xp doesnt see my sata hard drive, but the bios does SATA settings on IC7-G for BIOS and XP MSI motherboard - SATA drive configuration (do not want RAID) But it failed to install on an older motherboard, an ASUS P5L2D. But i found that the driver provided include Intel iAMT , SATA AHCI and wimax Driver which i didn't use before. I am fairly sure that in all of my testing/retesting I have done a warm boot and still not been able to find the drive.I cleared the cmos as well and something happend that never happend before, xp64 stops and tells me that the SATA drivers I am trying to install are not certified, would I like to install them anyway and Included on the list is the new Hitachi SATA HDD.

You have to have a new computer to read the Sata 3.0 and use the Feature tool to set the speed back to 1.5. However, it seems that the driver is just for sata raid (which I do not want or need). Not an access provider ISP (HN-0180).

I also called tech support for my new Western Digital Caviar SE16 500Gb HDD to find out if I could do the same thing- sure enough, jumper goes to pins 5/6 The BIOS flashed fine, but now the hard drives aren't being recognized, only in the RAID menu.
