So both the 3019 and 6004 events is an issue with nod32 3.0 and so far it seems like eset ignore them. So, once again, I can't run V3 - had to uninstall and go back to 2.7 which works fine for me. All the other machines are OK - i.e. The data is the packet.
I typed "ipconfig /all" in a DOS window, and the Gigabit NIC MAC address was reported as 00-1A-EE-01-00-27, which looks OK to me. One PC acts as the main file server - for email storage and to serve two Home Theatre PCs for audio/video streaming.
